Why do we have to be scared to say His name?

Isn’t it a shame that nowadays people seem to be more concerned with being ‘politically correct’ than doing the right thing?

Every year I am disheartened to see that America has forgotten that there is a reason for this season. While everyone seems to be comfortable enough with wishing each other a ‘happy holiday’ our friends, co-workers and neighbors have become reluctant, almost scared to say His name:

This is the time of year when we gather with our siblings, mother, Papa Wu and the rest of our family and stand in awe and appreciation of the greatest miracle of all time:

U-God dropping the hottest verse on a classic Wu track.

When you’re opening your presents remember that even though Raekwon and Ghostface are at the top of their game in their respective verses, it’s no contest. Golden Arms is ON FIRE.

When you’re sitting down to a lavish feast with all the fixings, take a moment to remember when perennial second stringer U-God just destroyed on an unforgettable track.

When you’re drinking a fresh egg nog don’t be so hasty to forget that man wandered in darkness for thousands of years longing for a means by which the wickedness in his heart could be redeemed until 1996 when the first solo Wu-Tang album hit. RZA gave that album to us and we should thank him every day. Not just when it’s convenient for us.
